When we begin to live from within outward, in touch with the power of the erotic within ourselves, and allowing that power to inform and illuminate our actions upon the world around us, then we begin to be responsible to ourselves in the deepest sense.—— Audre Lorde.

Coral Web is an abstract narrative about the dominated desire and erotic power of East Asian females. A body seeks to escape the 'valley of ice,' risking being burned. On her journey of searching for an exit, she is willing to become anything without limitations.

This piece is a re-interpretation of the dream discussed in symbolic prose, Dead Fire (Si Huo) by Lu Xun. Using it to explore the blurred erotic boundaries between the skin and the screen. It provides a currently silenced, suppressed East Asian female's erotic power, which is supposed to be anti- violent, non-appealing, fluid, and poetic rather than shamed.
